The Santos Octagon is one of those Cartier designs that quietly captures everything the Maison does best: strong geometry, effortless elegance, and a distinctly Parisian sense of style. Produced in the 1980s and 1990s, the Octagon offered a softer, more jewelry-like interpretation of the Santos, combining its signature exposed screws with a more compact, rounded case profile. In Lady size, reference 0907 stands out for its refined proportions and automatic movement, making it a particularly charming everyday Cartier from the period.  

The present example is an especially attractive one. Its burgundy dial is the obvious highlight: rich, vibrant, and preserved in perfect condition, with none of the cracks often seen on these more delicate lacquered surfaces. The case remains in perfect condition and, most importantly, appears to have never been polished, a detail that makes all the difference on a design defined by its crisp lines and sharp transitions.

It is fitted with a tight bracelet with full links, another increasingly important feature on vintage Cartier pieces, and it comes accompanied by its Cartier box. This is a beautifully preserved Santos Octagon Lady: elegant, distinctive, and far less common than the classic white-dial variants.
