Tank Vermeil 'Black'

Introduced in 1977, the Must de Cartier line reinterpreted the Tank for a new generation, replacing solid gold with vermeil while keeping every proportion and detail faithful to the original Art Deco design. It was conceived as a more accessible gateway into the Cartier universe, yet it never diluted the model’s identity, and today it stands as one of the most recognisable and wearable expressions of the Tank shape.

This example is fitted with the black dial, the boldest and most graphic of the Must colourways, its deep monochrome surface giving the watch a sharper, more architectural presence on the wrist. The dial shows the faintest trace of a spider crackle, barely perceptible to the naked eye and only visible on close inspection.

The case is in excellent condition, retaining its sharp lines and crisp proportions, and the gold plating remains equally well preserved throughout. It is currently fitted with a generic strap and buckle.

The watch is running well and comes as a full set, dated 1986.
