Cartier
Panthére 1-Row PM
The Cartier Panthère was introduced in 1983 and quickly became one of the defining watches of its decade: a soft square case, a sapphire cabochon crown, and above all its bracelet, with links so supple they move almost like fabric on the wrist. More jewel than tool watch, it captured the spirit of the 1980s and early ’90s better than almost any other design.
This example, reference 66921, was originally sold in Padua, Italy in 1993 and comes in the small size, combining a stainless steel case with an 18k yellow gold bezel. The bracelet is the 1-row configuration, with a single line of yellow gold links running down the centre. The ivory dial carries the classic Cartier codes, with Roman numerals, a chemin de fer minute track and blued sword hands, and its warm tone works especially well alongside the gold accents.
The watch is in excellent overall condition, with a case that retains its soft lines and proportions. The bracelet is also in excellent condition and has kept its great tension.
It was serviced by Cartier in August and remains under Cartier warranty until 2028. It is offered as a full set.
