By the early 1980s, the Piaget Polo had become one of the defining status symbols of the decade.

This ref. 8273 comes in 18k white gold, far less common on these pieces, where yellow gold dominates almost entirely. The dial carries the difference: a striped onyx layout, signed Piaget and Swiss only, with a dotted minute track and dauphine hands. The result is cooler and more graphic than the usual gold-on-gold Polo, without losing any of its presence.

Powered by the Piaget quartz calibre 8P, the watch is in excellent condition, the case still sharp and preserving its original lines and proportions. It is currently on a generic strap, but retains its original 18k white gold buckle.

Rarely seen in white gold, and rarer still with this dial.
