Piaget
Tank Onyx Diamond Dial
Few manufactures have mastered ultra-thin watchmaking quite like Piaget. The Calibre 9P, introduced in 1957 at just 2mm, became the foundation of the Maison’s most coveted creations, reserved exclusively for watches in precious metal, it defined an entire era of refined dress watches.
The reference 9150 is one of its finest expressions: a Tank-inspired case in 18k white gold, measuring 23 x 28mm, just 5mm thick, wearing more like a piece of jewellery than a traditional timepiece.
This example is fitted with one of the most desirable dial configurations for the reference: deep black onyx set with diamond hour markers, creating a striking yet deeply elegant contrast. As is not uncommon with natural stone dials of this age, the onyx presents some hairline cracks that are visible only under certain angles of light.
The watch is presented with its original Piaget strap and original buckle in 18k white gold.
